In the summer of 2016 when I had my summer holiday, I went back to Indonesia & traveled straight to Bangkok, Thailand. My parents decided that it was better for us to explore Bangkok for 7 days, yup. ONE WHOLE WEEK. The best restaurant that I visited during my stay there is called Soei.
Soei is located right at the Sam Sen Railroad Station. I can honestly say that the place is not very clean. You can actually spot the owner/head chef inside the kitchen. There is no AC inside Soei; instead, they use fans all over the place.
This place deserves an 8/10 for their amazing dishes! It is indeed super spicy, but still, it’s worth to try.. You’ll never regret it (I even came back). Their most perfect dish? Scroll up again! Look closely, it's the well, seems meh but [not regular] Yam Kai Dao, which is the Thai Fried Egg Salad! It's been a year, but.... I can still remember how it tastes like.....It was the perfect place to go for a perfect authentic - traditional Thai Food!
Pla Goong Pao: this dish has a huge shrimp in the middle. super delish
Kak Moo Pad Ka Prao: This is just pork fats. yes folks, fats! but damn, not. feeling. guilty. at. all.
Mackerel curry: super good. careful though, there are a lot of small bones.
Kaem Pla Too: it’s mainly just the body of the fish. It is fried and very crunchy.
This dish is soft shell crab, it is spicy & it tastes super authentic.
