Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food - oftentimes thoughts in my head or even write pieces about love or life. Hope you have a nice stay!

It’s been almost 3 weeks ago when I went to Bali during Ramadan break. Time do fly like crazy isn’t it? Well, it’s true according to the Official Calendar of 2019, there will be no public holiday after the Ramadan break for everything falls on the weekend. Bali was amazing during the first 5 days (went there for 8) cause it was still not crowded at all. The places that we went had no queue too so we were able to explore & eat around Bali! However... on the 6th day, it was when the last 3 days went downhill. Why? It took us at least 1.5-2.5 hours to from Point A to Point B with just less than 5 miles of distance. Overall, it was a nice break after some work days.

Here are a quick places recommendations in Bali!

1. Apurva Kempinski: A brand new 5 star hotel located in Nusa Dua that is perfectly build. Connected to the beach with a beautiful view from the lobby, it is one of the best places to go when you’re in Bali. This hotel is still considered new and they offered stays at an affordable price. There are a couple restaurants available in this hotel & there’s an underground aquarium being developed at the moment. This should be your destination when you’re in Bali!

2. Love Anchor: Located in Canggu - this mini traditional market is full of traditional booths that sell clothes, bags, accessories, decorations, gifts, etc. It can also be the new photo spot if you’re looking for one. Price-wise is pretty expensive and they can be bargained - so try to at least bargain 50% of their original price.

3. Krisna Oleh-Oleh Bali Bypass: Krisna gift shop is the most popular place in Bali for people to buy souvenirs (especially their Barong shirt). This new location is the largest one in Bali and they have Tanamera Coffee too. I feel that you should v…

3. Krisna Oleh-Oleh Bali Bypass: Krisna gift shop is the most popular place in Bali for people to buy souvenirs (especially their Barong shirt). This new location is the largest one in Bali and they have Tanamera Coffee too. I feel that you should visit their other locations if you’re specifically looking for Barong shirt cause they don’t sell it in this spot. However, it could be your last destination if you’re looking to visit somewhere new in Bali.

4. Campuhan Ridge Walk: Looking for some fresh air and complete green scenery? Perfectly located in Ubud, it is the best place for you to take a stroll in the evening before you’re having your dinner. This spot has a hilltop view that will leave you in awe - wear comfortable shoes cause it goes uphill. This is one of the best ways to get out of the busy street of Bali.

5. Omnia Bali: The infamous day club in Uluwatu that is heavily advertised EVERYWHERE, literally. I made the mistake of making a reservation at Sake No Hana because I have been told it’s a good Japanese restaurant (not a fan though, disappointed at its best). This was open about a year ago and it has been crowded ever since! Still, after a year, It was still crowded when I went there on Monday but indeed this place is great for you to hangout with your friends (or party in Bali haha!). It is known to be super expensive and a lot of famous guest DJs play here. It is actually the first day club they open in the world, if you’ve known this famous first location in Las Vegas - then you would know how popular this place is. Sigh, kinda miss Vegas tho! But definitely gotta book your spot here on a weekday if you’re coming here with your fam!

6. Expat Coffee Roasters: Many cafes use Expat’s coffee beans cause they’re just so so so good! Freshly brewed every day, Expat offers great coffee with limited seatings - kinda give you the work and coffee vibe. When you enter their cafe - you can literally smell the perfect coffee smell that makes you want to order their coffee ASAP - and indeed, it is a great coffee shop.

7. La Plancha: Unique beach club / lounge by the beach in Kuta. I’d recommend for you to come early around 5 pm to be able to get the beanbags spot to watch the sunset. Don’t expect a clean-perfect place, it is more into colorful spot with a lot of umbrellas too. They don’t have that much of bites or small plates or desserts so it’s better for you to just get a drink here.

8. Ulu Cliffhouse: The next level view in Uluwatu. Wonderfully located up in the hill, you get what I can call ‘a million dollar view.’ It literally embraces the Uluwatu view from the top. You are able to go to the beach too by going down the stairs. A perfect view of the cliffs from the top with great selections of wine by the glass will definitely complete your Bali trip! Try to make a reservation beforehand to secure the best spot for you to enjoy the sunset.

There are still places that I need to explore in Bali. This list is just a few of the places that I went during my recent trip to Bali - will share more places with you soon! Meanwhile, share which places should I visit the next time I go to Bali? Drop in the comment column below!
