Cafe hopping is a pretty big deal in Singapore - many cafes open as early as 7:30 - 8 am even on weekends! Either you’re planning to get a heavy breakfast or just a quick breakie, you can find anything in Singapore just around the block in Tiong Bahru.

At first, looking at The Lokal’s front door will give you the uncertainty whether you should go inside or not - cause the entrance windows are pretty dark and no ones inside. - wait until you take one more step and you’ll be in awe cause you can literally see how crowded it is at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. The menu is mostly simple breakfast with some unique dishes such as the Toasted Banana Bread You can enjoy their amazin sandwiches too that will leave you guilty but happy at the same time.

Despite all the crowd - you’ll be glad cause you can enjoy the scene of the people there. People seem to enjoy their food cause the restaurant itself has a good ambiance. The Lokal is actually an Australian inspired cafe that’s actually popular for its burger as well. Its food quality is good & price wise is a bit in the upper scale of brunch.

Ham & Cheese Grilled Sandwich - This was on their special menu that day. The crispiness of their toast + the melting cheese is to die for. Can you ever go wrong with grilled cheese? Yes. What about the grilled cheese at the Lokal? Never. In fact - one more please.
