Starbucks Reserve Dewata - Bali
Ever been to a coffee shop that is already insanely popular but they keep on throwing out amazing Creative ideas that will definitely take your breath away? Well, I have.
First of all, I gotta tell you first - I don’t think Starbucks serve great, or even good coffee - I just go there to either get their Iced Passion Tea or Hot Tea or even sometimes their fattening drinks (name it: Java Chip Frap, Vanilla Frap, Green tea Latte, White Chocolate and so on), well at least you get my point.
But anyways, let me introduce you a different kind of Starbucks. Meet Starbucks Reserve Dewata that is located in Bali, Indonesia. The only place that I think serves unique but not good, or great coffee - but AMAZING amazing coffee after Starbucks Reserve in Shanghai or the original Starbucks in Seattle.
With their overpriced drinks and having their own roastery inside their own building - it is indeed one of the best spots you should visit to get your cup of joe. It opened its door earlier this year and tourists have been visiting this place every now and then! When I went there during the Lebaran week, it was still crazy crowded at 10:30 pm - you read it right, PM.
You can find a few of uniqueness in this Balinese decor Starbucks. If you pay a closer attention, Starbucks Dewata has its own logo, which is the Lotus - for lotus has a meaning of beauty and growth. In this very own spot, you can actually see that they have their own coffee farm in the ‘lobby’ or drop off point as a welcoming station towards their customers - there’s a receptionist in the drop off point as well just like a hotel. Not only that, they have their own coffee bar & media center where you can see Starbucks’ coffee history and the farmers too. It really is a place for sanctuary - but not for now cause the crazy crowd that’s there all the time. They also have special menu drinks that are only available in this location only.
Coffee Rundown:
For every order of regular coffee, you will get a small cookie to eat that tastes pretty good. Overall, I was it was beyond my low expectation of the coffee taste. But careful - do not, I repeat, DO NOT come during the highest seasons of the year cause the line can be crazy crazy long. Not only people come here for coffee, more likely they come here for Instagram photos (guilty as charge I did too). But now, I commit that I would be back for more cold brew malt. Can someone please bring it back for me?! MUST VISIT!
Cheers!
